I'm not a mini-van-driving Soccer Mom. Err, well - we can 86 the Soccer part. And the mini-van. So I'm a Mom and I drive. I am a former careeraholic. Although I no longer work outside the home, my working hours have increased significantly. I am currently negotiating my salary. I am married to the Navy... I mean a Naval Petty Officer. We have three boys ages 13, 10 & 4 and two kittens who literally think they are people. I don't believe in Religion. I believe in Jesus and respect others' Spiritual identification. My views on politics can be described in one word: "Shcmolitics". I am honest, sensitive and genuine. I don't refer to human beings as [blog] "Traffic" or "Followers". FYI: I don't sell Mary Kay Cosmetics any longer - so you're off the hook.

Skin Care Products I've Tried

Below is a list of all the products I've tried...if I can remember all of them, that is. Some of them I still like for different reasons which I've listed at the bottom. Most of them...well, let's just say I wish I had all that money back that I threw in the trash!

Please remember that these statements have not been approved by the Mary Kay corporation, nor do I make any such claim. These are solely my opinions which stem from my personal experiences.

The main purpose of this posting is to try and help other people by 1. Save them money and time that could be wasted by purchasing products that (in my opinion) do not work, 2. Prevent chemical burns or reactions for those, like myself, who have sensitive skin, and 3. Persuade others to at least TRY Mary Kay! All you have to do is click on my link (www.marykay.com/genaharding)and request a sample.

Products I Have Tried:

Neutrogena
Estee Lauder
Burts Bees(1)
Noxema(2)
Lancome
Clinique
Oil of Olay
Yves Rocher (French Import)
Shiseido
Cetaphil (3)
Aveeno
Elizabeth Arden
Murad
Proactiv+
Eucerin
Avon++
Dove
Ponds
Clean & Clear
St. Ives
Curel
Gold Bond (4)
L'oreal (5)
Olive Oil (6)
Pure Vitamin E Gel Caps (7)

(1) Still love their baby products...especially the apricot oil

(2)better but not enough age fighting, moisturiziation and no antioxidants. Still great for sunburns, though!

(3)didn't feel I wasted my money since I could still use it as a baby hair and body wash...good for their delicate skin

(4) Still great for heat rash on delicate areas of the body

(5) Made my skin feel sticky and totally not clean

(6) Still great for hands, elbows and nails but it takes a while to absorb so it feels greasy for a little while. Mary Kay's Night Emollient Cream is much better especially on wet skin.

(7) A cheap and effective way to treat under and around the eye and lip areas before bed. The only thing is that it's sticky and gets in your hair and on your pillow. You just pop a pill open with a needle or safety pin and squeeze it out applying it where needed. Not recommended for any other areas except eyes, lips and body piercings (after they've healed) to prevent scarring.

+ I had SEVERE allergic reactions and BURNS on my face. Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream was the only thing that healed it!

++ Avon burned my face, too. However, I love their non-cosmetic products. My favorite jammies came from an Avon catalog!

Cure for Cradle Cap / Scalp Conditions

I discovered this and it works great! I used this on two of my three boys...wish I'd have known about it with my first one! It only took like two applications. Just slather it on after washing baby's hair and let it set. Then use a comb and gently comb out all the scaly skin. It's fast and painless!
